Happy Monday, sweet friends! Can you believe next week is Fourth of July?! Time has seriously been flying by, we are half way through this year already! I’ve always loved Fourth of July and all of the fun summer activities: bbq’s, swimming, wearing adorable red, white, and blue/stars & stripes outfits and swimsuits, hanging out with family and friends, and ending the night with fireworks (my fave!) I sure am proud to an American, sweet land of liberty! 🙂
*A quick lovey dovey moment* This day is also special because it’s my boyfriend and I’s anniversary and this year marks 4 years of dating!! We have spent the last 5 July 4th’s together and have made amazing memories. The first year he asked me out the sweetest way ever.. while watching fireworks on the boat! <3 The next year was a totally different story we decided to take the boat out to an island to stay the night, but here comes the not so fun part..it was raining so all of our stuff got wet before we set up camp!! Let me tell you the mix of wet pillows + clothes + biting bugs is rough ya’ll. We made the best of it though and hey, those not-so-pleasant times still make unforgettable memories! The next year we went simple with dinner on the river and then watched fireworks. Last year was the best, we took a cross country road trip from Florida to California with our pug. We visited 11 cities and 10 states! Unbelievably amazing it was a trip of a lifetime!! We have St. Augustine planned for this year and I heard their fireworks are some of the best so we are excited!
I love dressing up on holidays. But, I live in Florida and it gets HOT during the summer so when I saw this gingham romper I knew that it was perfect for July 4th! Let me tell you.. this is my faveee outfit right now! You know those outfits you put together that you just feel good in?! That is how I feel about this look, o b s e s s e d! I didn’t want to take it off lol I felt cute, confident, and most importantly comfy! I think this is the perfect cute casual July 4th outfit!
My feelings toward gingham are strong! It’s such a cute pattern, especially during the summer, that can be dressed up or down. This gingham romper is what dreams are made of! I’m 5’7 so rompers can run short on me sometimes and this girl isn’t trying to have her booty hanging out! This one is long enough to where you feel comfortable, but it’s still flattering! I’m wearing a small and it fits great. The little knot keyhole detail makes it SO adorable! You seriously need this romper in your life ASAP! I’m not joking you will be in love. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better it does! Because.. it’s currently 50% off and ONLY $22.47 + all sizes are available! Run, don’t walk I repeat ruuun, don’t walk!
It was my first time wearing a bandana in my hair! I haven’t worn one before because I thought it would look weird on me, but one of the best parts about blogging is stepping out of my comfort zone to try new styles and I’m so happy I did because this little red bandana pulled the whole look together! (and kept my hair out of my face, bonus points ;)) It’s on sale right now too for under $6! The perfect Fourth of July accessory!
I live in my classic white converse! They are a good cute + casual shoe to throw on. You can pair them with so many outfits like cutoff denim and summer dresses or rompers in this case lol. I just recently got this slip-on style and I love them! This pair is a twist on the classic style and they look more feminine! I found them for under $50 so if you’ve been wanting a casual shoe that you can wear every season this is the perfect pair!
A red lip is a Fourth of July must! I found this drugstore gem before Christmas last year. I was looking for a red lip that was affordable, pigmented, and long-wearing and this one checked all the boxes! It’s a velvet matte formula so it doesn’t dry out your lips + it’s a blue based red so it makes your teeth look more white, score! For under $10 this lippie is a must-have!
