Fit Friday

Happy Friday! I’m adding a new series called ‘Fit Friday’ to the blog! Once a month I’m going to post something related to fitness and healthy living. It might be a workout idea, food/snack recipe, athleisure outfit etc. or like today a combo of the three! I played soccer and basketball growing up and also did gymnastics. My fave was basketball for sure and I played four years of varsity basketball in high school. I have always been athletic and very into sports! You can say I have a tomboy side lol and fun fact: I hated the color pink and wearing dresses until high school! *insert laughing emoji* l believe in the saying “Feel good, Do good, Live good” and I want to spread that positive energy! Let’s be honest I don’t go to the gym or do something athletic every day consistently (as much as I would like) but, it’s true that I always feel better after I workout! A workout doesn’t have to be long and strenuous even getting outside to take a long walk with your dog or getting to the gym for 30 minutes is beneficial! Trust me I’m no expert when it comes to working out and the gym can be intimidating! I love to use Pinterest or Google to look up exercises and workout routines! Watching what you are eating and knowing what you are putting into your body is more important than working out! Eating healthy is hard and a total life change! I struggle with eating healthy because I love sweets, but even making a small change such as eating fruit instead of Oreo’s makes a difference! PS you’ll prob feel better too! I hope you’re excited about this new series and to kick it off I’m sharing a comfy yet still cute workout/athleisure look (that you can find me wearing 3 days out of the week ;)), a breakfast/snack idea, and a “Get Back in the Gym” workout!

Workout/Athleisure Outfit

I’m in LOVE with this workout outfit that can double as an athleisure look! It can take you from the gym to grab lunch or run errands! The best part is everything I’m wearing is included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Adidas is back and better than ever! Everyone and their momma is loving Adidas right now lol me included! This relaxed fit Adidas tank is super cute and simple. Sale: $21.90, After Sale: $30. I’m always down to save 8 bucks! I’m wearing an XS and love the look of it knotted because it’s a little long.

I’ve talked about these leggings before, but seriously they are amazing! I love this brand so much & their leggings are comparable to Lululemon for a fraction of the price! These leggings literally suck you in and they don’t fade or pill after washing! I’m wearing the high waisted pair, but also bought the cropped pair too because you can’t beat the price! Sale: $35.90, After Sale: $54. You need a pair trust me you’ll love and wear them all the time!

These pretty pink sneaks were the first thing I had my eye on when I got the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog over a month ago and they were the first thing I added to my cart when the sale opened to Nordstrom cardholders a few weeks ago! Sale: $74.90 After Sale: $99.95. Unfortunately, they sold out on the first day.. but, have come back in stock in a few sizes randomly! Right now there are a few sizes available, but they won’t last long so run! I also found them in stock in more sizes at a few different retailers for full price, but if you are realllly wanting them now is your chance! They fit TTS and are extremely comfortable!

Yogurt Bowl

I’ve been eating this yogurt bowl for the past few weeks either for breakfast or a snack and it is delicious! I love adding fresh fruit and all of the toppings mixed together makes it SO yummy! I try to eliminate as much dairy as I can from my diet and this brand is my all time fave because it actually tastes good! I usually use plain yogurt, but the vanilla flavor was the only option at my grocery store at the time. This vanilla flavor is not ideal because it is high in sugar! TIP: When you are looking at yogurt choose the one with less sugar! This yogurt bowl might look complicated because there are a lot of toppings, but once you start making it often it becomes quick and easy! PS This cute pink bowl comes in a set of 4 for only $12!


  • 1/2 to 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup granola
  • 3 tbsp organic coconut flakes
  • 3 tbsp organic cacao nibs
  • A handful of strawberries and blueberries
  • 1 tbsp organic chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp raw shelled hemp seeds

Workout Idea

Now that you are looking cute and feeling good from your yogurt bowl now’s the time to get a workout in! I posted this treadmill exercise on Instagram stories the other day because it had me sweaty and out of breath! If you are looking for a new treadmill exercise or just need some motivation to get back in the gym this one is great!

I repeated this treadmill workout twice and then did this booty burn workout + step ups! I do the lunges, step ups, and squats with weights.

I always end my workout with stretching for at least 20 minutes! Now you are all sweaty and feeling great! You did it, girl! Go reward yourself with a Starbucks pink drink 😉
